Every Song Has Its Play
Source:Southend Evening Echo
Gilbert toured the UK and Ireland during 1991/2 with a semi-autobiographical stage show about the rise and fall and rise again of a young singer-songwriter. The show called Every Song Has Its Play saw Gilbert both acting and singing and featured lots of his hit songs and some new ones all accompanied by a string quartet called A Touch of Class. The following newpaper articles refer to Gilbert's then upcoming visit to the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend-on-Sea, Essex in March 1991.
